speaking of that, it really confuses the hell out of people when you give them the time like that. always good for a laugh though.

just saw your post Z, i my self have masterd the 24 hours clock. really quite simpe. after about a day, it came just as easily as the 12 hour clocks.

I actually setup all my newly built or freshly installed machines with 24 hour clocks....

and i do find it quite amusing when i use 24 hour time references while everyone else has blank faces as they try to figure out what kinda math they need to do to convert it into something they can use.

really it isn't all that hard, if not easier.. less confusing..

actually, the logical way is to go largest to smallest, right? numbers are millions, then thousands, then hundreds/tens/units... and time is hours:min:sec
    so it should be 2006/04/05.

unless you're telling me a DVD costs $02, or there's 000,000,000,1 people in China, or that the odometer on your vehicle counts:
    100000
    200000
    300000
    ...
    900000
    010000
    110000
    210000

if you want, we can meet at the pub around a quarter past three (or 51:3) and discuss this over a 473mL :)

I believe the US military does use the 24 hr clock. In ilms, they say "owe-eight hundred hours" or "nineteen hundred hours".
but civilians use am/pm mainly. not even any of the countries that use 24hr that I've been to, have the regular people spoken like that

We use the: Day / Month / Year format both in writing and audible.
So we'll say "The third of November" which sounds akward in English, but perfectly normal in french.
    French is all backwards..

sounds like you have been in the pub for a few hours already :p i was working on the principal that the largest is last, which it is for all countries right? no point in rewriting everything from scratch so lets just settle on even ground and as we both have largest last, lets have smallest first ;)

funny thing is, im primarily left handed, i found it easier driving a car on the right side of the road in the states. although the lanes over there are so wide it hardly matters what "side" you drive on. could quite easily drive a boeing 747 down the freeway with a few miles on each side spare :p

    El cinco de mayo anyone?

In Spanish it's the day first.. though personally, I don't care what order it's in. Except it pisses me off when I don't know what format it is in, and something is say.. 4/12/06

Just look outside the window, I know..
