I don't think they OC that much. They have been very bad OCers in the last few reviews I read. They are very fast even at stock speeds so you'll be happy. Enjoy your screaming new proc :)

    Re:

I'm sorry, but I find that hard to believe. 2200+ hitting 2GHz is not impossible, but 30C? Aircooled? Please tell me more about your system!

Yes, and it was hotly contested. I do buy it, and I do think it's possible, but surely not at 30C!

I'm not saying a 2GHz overclock can't be done, I'm saying I find it hard to believe it can be done with aircooling at 30C.

That is my temps as reported by MBM and my BIOS.
My basement is a cool 20C and my side panels are never on.
I have a feeling that my mobo sensor is reading a little low.
    The temps don't really matter.
I think it is pretty common to get a stable OC on Air cooling of 250MHz.

As a comparison, I ran my AMD 2100 in this mobo and the temps are the same when I OC it. My AMD 1700 runs about 3C cooler on average.

Here is a screenshot from a cold boot but, as we all know within a few minutes the CPU heats up. I could not run 3D at 2088MHz since it heated up so fast.

Ive got a 1600+ doing over 1900 mhz and it doesnt get over 41 with prime95 so the 2200 over 2 gig and running cool shouldnt be too surprising.

    Its all in good cooling

There is something fishy with those temps, it has to be

touch your heatzink and compare to your own skin, the heatzink should be cooler in that case.

I dont think 250 mhz overclock on air should be any problem, but yeah at 30 there may be an issue wiht the temp monitor

thats about whan i ran when I was air cooling, anything more than that would be getting uncomfportable with the temps.

mine wasnt wiht an 2200 but still the 250 mhz oc isnt that much.

derhunter get some water on that and see what she'll do. :D

    Re:

That is on my list of to-gets.
I'm trying to figure out what I should get. If I get plain water it is not gonna do much.
I gotta get something chilly and that requires some serious research, not to mention cash!
I may wait until next payday.

yeah money is always the best bet, i think youd be surprised by water though.

i know for me the water i setup (not a kit) cost me 120.00, now i can run my 1600+ at 1909mhz and in a 32 system temp i idol at 35 and prime95 max is 41, beofre water at only 1650 mhz i was running 41 idol.

pretty unbelievable resules i though, Ive been reccomending water erver since..

if your gonna run with the sides off put a regular car heater core,, theres less resistance for the water and you just setup the rad sand a shroud and have the hoses to you waterblock going into the mobo.

thats whay i did since I run side off too all the time. keeps my radiator otutta the warm case that way.
