    Out of interest

Looking at several mag and web articles pitting gfx cards againat each other.

Interesting - the Nvidia 4x00 cards all seem to perform within 10frames of each (averaged out). There doesn't appear to b much difference, performance-wise, between a 4600 based card, and it's 4200 sibling. Except about £200 in cost.

Is it really worth splashing out on a 4600? if one is not a hardcore gamer who *must* have absolute top end no matter what, is the 4200 a good choice?

    Re:

I agree. I own the 4600 but if I wish I would have just spend $200 on the 4200 and saved myself $200. Some 4200 owners can get it up to or near 4600 performance through overclocking. The 4200 is no sloth.

Cheers, confirmation of what I suspected. Specially the "I wish" comment. Methinks getting a 4200 on Sat to play with is on the cards.
