So, like 20 mins ago, after a routine reboot, Windows loads up and everything is red.

    Everything.

During the booting splashscreen, the Windows XP logo shows in color. Seems like VGA is fine... but once I get the XP welcome screen, everything is red. Changing video settings hasn't restored color.

Has anyone seen this? Has anyone fixed this problem?

Did you break one of the Pins on your Monitor lead that plugs into your Graphics Card.

I did that once and ended up with all Blue :)

yea, double check your VGA/DVI cable going to your card. make sure it's firmly plugged into the VGA/DVI port, and check if it's kinked, or warped. play around w/the cable for a little bit and see if that will fix your display.

also I guess something could have happened to your drivers.

have you tried running safe mode? It'll load the default "safe" drivers and generally thats how you know if your card is fubared or not.

edit: btw, I seriously doubt your card is fubared. worst case scenario, one of the pins on the CARD's vga out port got damaged...and while that does suck majorly, there IS another port on the back of that lil card.
