    Hi,

i'm new to this forum and i'd like to know if anyone has experience with the new PCI-Express Version of the EMU 1616 on Mac OSX?

    Is it supported at all?

    Thanks!

I'm afraid it is not supported. But I would like to add such support. I will need the card for that. Please let me know if there are other people willing to see this support in the future. Someone will probably need to send me the card in order to proceed with development.

    Hi,

do you only need the PCIe card, or the whole system (like 1616m)?

Maybe it's fortune, as i have a EMU 1010 PCIe card here i don't use at the moment... of course you would need a audiodock like 1616 or 1616m to test all features...

    Hi tiger_meow!

I have a 1212m PCI by hand (1010+analog 0202), and, if I'm not mistaken, its analog daughterboard (0202) should work just fine with 1616m's 1010 PCIe.

At least, Creative says here, that: It also allows current v2 1010 PCI card owners to upgrade to use modern motherboards with newer PCIe slots.

Unfortunately, it is impossible to buy this upgrade here in Russia ($149).
According to this user, the new microdock will not work properly with the driver anyway, we need to get a new FPGA dump from ALSA for that.

Any news about it [IMG] ... I'm very interested in a Snowleopard driver for emu 1212M pci-e. In my 1212m, outputs work fine, but no inputs and without them I can not record [IMG]. It would be much appreciated, give support to the inputs of these cards, since there is no driver for Mac OS X, and Logic, Protools, etc only works on Mac. Thanks for your support [IMG]. (sorry for my bad english [IMG])

Because the 1820 or 1820M is discontinued. Now the new model is named 1616m pci-e. This pci-e card (1010m pci-e) includes a new dock, and this "pack" (1010m pci-e + dock) is named 1616m pci-e. For example the 1212m pci-e is another "pack" of 1010m pci-e (+ 0202m "secondary input output card")

1820 and 1820m is a "old pci card". Do you undertand?...1010m pci-e is a "new pci express card". The docks are totally different.
