Using XBMC and QuickTime to find a multichannel (AC3/DTS Pass through) related issue (digging here for solution) XBMC is one cool player that plays x264 right (better then vlc and quicktime) on my system except it plays 5.1 audio in 2.1
Hello, If I use a dsdt.aml file in my root dir then the KX driver will not be loaded anymore. I never used a dsdt file but it is needed now for fixing the sleep issue which requires the famous AppleIntelCPUPowermanagement kext. I'll probably have to add the Audigy 2 ZS to the patched dsdt.aml file but I have no idea how. Any input on this would be appreciated, thx in advance Update: working now so either I meesed up previous try or the GUI DSDT patcher app is a bit faulty (I used dsdt patcher now)
Hi, Im using emu 1820. After clean install works fine one day, but now if I try to play with synths standalone or in Logic sound is glitchy and cpu is very high. Tried to change buffer, but it doesnt help. Reinstalled driver the same.
You don't need AICPUPM to get sleep in 10.5.8 - use my SleepEnabler.kext (you can find some info and download links here). Using AICPUPM is not the best idea, as it will make your CPU run quite a bit hotter. EDIT: it's very important to disable or remove AICPUPM before installing SleepEnabler. It's also wise to remove SleepEnabler before upgrading to 10.5.9 (if and when it will come out), as it will probably cause panic. I'm going to try to write an universal version of SleepEnabler, but for the time being, it's always bound to a particular kernel version. And the issue with missing audigy after messing with DSDT - I'm not sure why, but it simply happens from time to time Once, I've had to move it to a different PCI slot to get it running again...
The driver worked fine for a 4-5 hours, after that, the sound is distorted. Restart and/or kext reload solve the problem. My card: 01:02.0 Multimedia audio controller: Creative Labs SB Live! EMU10k1 (rev 0a) Subsystem: Creative Labs SBLive! 5.1 Digital Model SB0220 Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 64, IRQ 21 I/O ports at c400 Capabilities: [dc] Power Management version 1
Îòâåò: bug reports for OS X driver 1.3b0 I have only left channel working in new games. Old games work better exept quake 3, It wants my sound card to work with 41100 Ghz. So solve it, if it possible )) TNX!
In XBMC and MPlayer sound for the center speaker comes from the rear left and vice versa. In VLC plays it right.

Re: Îòâåò: bug reports for OS X driver 1.3b0 Very disappointing, can you suggest some solution for this X-fi cards ?
Hi, I have Leopard 10.5.8 running a CT4760 10k1 with Live! Drive Platinum. 1. Sound is too loud. Have a pair of monitor speakers plugged directly into the card (no amp) and I have to have the volume way down. The only way to get precise control is via Sound in system preferences. I have seen this mentioned on other forums before (maybe for previous versions). 2. I'd like to know if there is a "mute speakers when headphones plugged in" function. This would be great since all my old systems had it and I miss it greatly! EDIT - Headphones are plugged into the LiveDrive with sound coming out of 1 & 2 (Stereo Out) but still no speaker mute. I have read that it is supported (?!) EDIT 2 (sorry!) - After some playing around I found that I could control speakers separately from headphones using Audio MIDI Utility. Moving the Output 1 & 2 sliders decreases volume on speakers but not headphones. While this is good it still results in some tiresome clickage and knob twiddling just to switch from one to the other. As for the loudness issue I found that setting all volumes to -50 in Audio MIDI gives me my preferred volume BUT as soon as I touch any volume controls on my keyboard everything resets to 1.00! Argh. 3. I know I shouldn't mention this here but I'm glad you are working on inputs! I am a musician and you have no idea how useful this would be to me. I want to keep using my Live! Also MIDI support would be out of this world so please if you can I (and many others like me) would be most grateful. Cheers!

Thanks for the good work. Greetings!
audio on one side only in newer games I have the exact same problem - it works with most applications but newer games work "mostly" on the left side - I mean 100% volume on the left and a little (maybe 20%) on the right. It happens to me with Eve Online while eg. Portal works fine. While the game is running it's possible to use the soundcard from osx and it works there properly except that game sounds are a lot louder on the left and barely audible on the right. I run into this same issue with two different kinds of sb live cards on two different hackintoshes (snow leopard 10.6.5, latest kx audio driver both) I see this message in dmesg: Code: kXAudioEngine[0x72d1e00]::peformFormatChange(0x74bac00, 0x5c393c18, 0)
SB live 5.1 Drivers works very well, except one issue. Afters few days of works sound missing. Reloading kext helps to fix this. PS: still waiting for record capatibility
Sound Blaster X-Fi runs perfectly on Mac Os X 10.5 PPC Usb one. With 44100,0 Hz support. With 96000.0Hz 2ch-24bit Audio Output Works. With My Hardware. it works only 96000,0Hz Audio Input 2-ch-16bit. Problem With Spdif, Does Not Work as input or Output Maybe you should look into it. Spdif recording worked in Quicktime latest version as Sound Blaster HD: With Device Native. needs upgrade to work. was with no play through But As A File record worked fine.
Lion 10.7.3 /Chameleon for Win /i386, SB0350 doesn't work. Here's the logs: But when I use -v mode (debug), it works well.
