    Cinebench is a benchmark tool for benchmarking CPU and OpenGL performance. The latest version available is 11.5.

    not ideal testing conditions (had a number of things on the go at the same time that weren't all that cpu intensive...)

    That's impressive!

    What I need to know is how to force the CPU to perform at the OC setting during a test like this. It was my understanding that it would do so on its own. But, I've noticed the clocks simply show that it's running at the default speed and not what I've set it to.

    quite often most benchmarks register wrong for me as well. including this one... I wasn't running 4.16ghz.. I was running 4.29ghz

    Yeah, I started up CPU-Z before doing another run. The CPU definitely is ramping up to the OC setting OK.

    This test is pretty consistent, too. I've run it a few times since the posted one and each result is within a very minuscule margin of the others.

    Seeing your posts made me wonder how my MacBook Pro would do ... Stay tuned ;)

    [EDIT] For some reason it wont run on OSX 10.8 :/
    [EDIT2] So it was all to decompression of the zip file. Keka for some reason corrupted it.
