When I see people OC their R8500s, they get their Mem Speeds higher than their core ones. However, I get my core higher than my memory 275/250 Is that normal? Which is better, getting core higher or mem higher? I know both would be nice, but I'm already OCing the Memory from 200 to 250.

I always thought the Core was the best to O/C

well i have found that on most of the 8500s the core wont go as high as the ram, but not always.... most cards I test in work I can get the ram to 290mhz. (580).

the best thing to do is to keep benching, and constantly checking for stability. Nature test 4 in 3dmark2001 is a good test of this as its GPU intensive. if you push the ram too high, you will see graphical glitches, and if you push the core to high, the card will lock out and you will be forced to restart.

The fastest i can get mine to go is 285/285 and I have a orb and heatsinks on the ram. It will just lockup If i go any higher.
