    check your statmenets!

I just realized after 40 days of fraud transactions on my Card that a lot of dodgy stuff was going on. Always small amounts always USD (except world of warcraft which was in pounds) every other day...

all in all it added up to about £240 pounds with the larget transaction being £80 which I noticed yesterday... then I had a look and saw loads of these:

    'EPOCH COM 3106645700 CA , 1.95 USD 0.98
    'DYNADOT LLC 6505851961 CA , 31.96 USD 16.21
    'DYNADOT LLC 6505851961 CA , 8.99 USD 4.49
    'EPOCH COM 3106645700 CA , 29.92 USD 14.89
'WORLD OF WARCRAFT BLIZ VILLACOUBLAY 8.99

etc. Bit ashamed since I work in a bank and never checked my statments since I do use my credit card a lot and just pay it back at the end of the month...

PS: yes and I got burgled 4 months ago too... what a year :)

Oh well you can probably afford it. ;) *tease* ;)

Speaking of security, my bank has a deal that suits me perfectly. My card is not connected to any card number that could be used for international payments, but if I need for instance to buy something online I can set aside a specific sum of money to use in combination with a temporarily generated Mastercard number. Last time I had a regular VISA there was a couple of small transactions that were fraudulent, probably the number simply leaked at some end after an online payment.

Epoch might be this site: https://epoch.com/

I don't if it's the same but I've seen PeerGuardian block some IPs from Epoch Internet.

*edit* It looks like PeerGuardian blocks that site if HTTP is disabled. It's blocked as Epoch Systems.

My account would be impossible to spot anything on (I use them for anything and everything and the balance is paid at end of month and I hardly ever review statements), they have called me once or twice about it but told them to leave it because it was too much of a hassle to go back through all the various websites and reenter my various card information, not to mention my reoccurring billing stuff.

I think they just flag my account for excessive expenditures, and one time they called me about "EVE Online", they thought someone had taken my card and was now purchasing Porn with it because there were 2 charges for like $20USD on there. Silly companies :D

Ouch, my roommate had just noticed some weird payments on his card. I'm glad i shred my statements and everything else that i get. I check my statements on-line at my bank site. i have to go through like 100 questions and PW just to get to my account. I love my bank security.
