I must admit I was never a superfan I liked maybe 1 out of every 4 songs but this is still devastating news I don't think I have been this depressed about a Singers Death since Freddie back in 91 ... RIP

I can't say it affects me in any way, but I was surprised to read this today. I didn't know he was ill to begin with. May he rest in peace.
I think I associate with him his role in the Labyrinth more than any of his songs. Even though he released some very good songs.
This is the song I associate more with him.

Edit: OK now I am getting misty eyed as I listen to this.

I got the news notice just as I got home last night. I had no idea he was battling cancer until I got the news. RIP, David!

I think this is a big moment - Bowie was iconic. One of the milestones in musical history.

    R.I.P., you will be missed.

I liked his music even though I'm a little younger.

Bowie's music currently makes up over a quarter of the UK album chart with Blackstar at the number 1 position. I've been listening to it this week and it is a melancholy and poignant listen - I particularly like Dollar Days. A song about a man facing the end.

He had so many guises and styles over the years, he has been putting out music for all the time I have been alive. So many anthems and classic tracks...

Such a loss, I'll always remember him for his role in the labyrinth
