Images of the Xbox One Slim have sprung up online just a day before Microsoft's E3 2016 conference.

The first image, posted on NeoGAF and picked up by Kotaku, sports new info on the hardware. The Xbox One Slim will have a 2TB hard drive, be 40% smaller in size than the original Xbox One, and will support 4K video. The leak comes hot on the heels of plenty of rumors that the new, smaller hardware would be revealed at the show.

The second image shows off the Xbox One Slim's vertical stand.

I thought you would have thought that was a steal!

I mean, if it's that cheap then why not get it and a 4K TV?

A steal? I guess you could say that lol.
    I already have a Xbone.
Why would I buy a 4K TV? Not enough content for it.
I have a 4K monitor, but a TV? Waste of money at this time.
In a couple of years perhaps.

They've already started broadcasting in 4K here in Canada plus there's Netflix 4K so yeah, I'm interested in this Xbone Slim. Especially if it will be priced so cheaply. An added bonus is I will be able to game with all my friends who have Xbones and have been asking me to get one so I can play with them.

And if 4K games start coming out then all the better. :)

Fair enough. This year is the first year that 1080p arrived here (TV stations), there are only a handful of 4K BR.
I have no netflix nor do I see any reason to get it.
I don't know if I will ever get this new xbone, perhaps in several years from now I will.
Right now I don't see the point.

    So it looks like it will be $299 for a 500 GB version, $349 for a 1TB and $399 for a 2TB.

I wonder if it will continue to support the Kinect.

Actually yes it does support the kinect, although you have to buy an adapter to use it.

I'm still gonna get a Xbox One Slim. I can't wait around forever. And in any case all games that come out with 4K support will still be playable on the regular Xbone.

European pricing is out now. The 2TB launch edition Xbox One S will cost £349/399 Euros, while the 1TB will be £299/349 Euros and the 500GB £249/299 Euros.

most of canada will only ever receive 720p (barely that)... and it's heavily compressed... I've not seen a 1080p broadcast from anyone.. including sasktel/shaw that is legitimatley 1080p... we've had "1080p output" receivers for years though... but they still only snag a 720p/1080i broadcast. 4K is mostly limited to the UHD Blurays and internet based broadcasts (provided enough bandwidth is achievable which again.. majority of the canadian population either do not have or cannot get even if they tried).

Xbox One S: Release date, specs and everything you need to know

The Xbox team didn't mess around at its E3 2016 press conference, opening straight into the announcement of a new model Xbox - the Xbox One S.

Designed to sit alongside the current Xbox One, but bring a range of new features, the new Xbox One S is more than just a slimmer design, this is a console that's going to bring you delightful features that the original Xbox One model won't.

So here's everything you need to know about the new Xbox One S.

Disappointing. They're essentially going to sell it for the same price they do when it's on sale, which funny enough it is right now. $299 US / $349 CAN for the various 500GB bundles.
