I finally switched to REAL broadband, aka Roadrunner, I was using a local provider but I was capped at 256K down and 128K up, WOW! I had no clue how much difference it could make, WOW! now I'm capped if you can call it that at 3000K down and 384 up! Life is good. :w00t:
Great for you, man. I loved RoadRunner when I had it, so fast and a great ping. Now I only have 1100down/1100up and a so-so ping =\
1100 up is nice though, thats about the only complaint, if you can call it that, that I have actually, huge fat pipe down and this tiny upload....
ouch DSL 768/128 for now and 1.5/512 coming in 3 months (only reason Im on the low package is that we get a $100 rebate after 3 months)
Unfortunately nothing good to download, no new movies, or errmmm ahhhh Craig, 480/30? 30Kb/s Up are you serious? Thats slower than narrowband heck that IS narrowband. :wtf:
I remember using a 300 baud modem on my old trs-80 and I signed up for compuserve for 6$ a month. Someone uploaded a rogue clone onto one of the BBSes and I took me about a hour to download it.
Just got upgraded from 640/256 to 1.5/1 , although I think everyone is still a little behind schedule or something caus with tests i get about 800/800
