i have an ATI Radeon 32mb SDR PCI video card...complete with a Pentium3 866, 256mb PC133 RAM,a soundblaster 512 sound card, and XP Home as the OS.

my problem is with Ghost Recon, when i try to play everything will start out fine but will crash when i do one of the following: take a few steps, move the reticule around a lot, fire my weapon repeatedly. when it crashes it just boots me out to the OS desktop.

    DirectX version: 8.1a
    ATI Drivers: 6.13.10.6043

    any help would be appreciated....

    thanks,

I don't have GR (yet...didn't have it the last time I went game hunting) but I can't imagine you wouldn't be better off with the 6058 drivers (see front page of http://www.rage3d.com).

    Just an idea

I was having problems with Smoothvision enabled with the 6043 thru the 6058. It wouldn't crash but it would flicker horribly when any of my men were in view. I turned it off and the game would run great. I now run the Plutonium XP71s and it runs fine with Smoothvision 2x on. Don't know if this will help, but just an idea.
