What does the GPU Core speed do for my gaming performance? Because memory seems to be more important, but what does O/Cing 275 to 285 do?

usually you wont be able to clock the core higher then the ram, so if your core is not clocking that high thats not a defect it is more of the norm. The ram will usually go around 290 on a retail 8500 some have went much higher just experiment with small jumps like 3 to 4 mhz and see.

    I forgot!
Oh yeh If you get Omega/Plutonium drivers thiers is a artifact tester 2.0 built in so it make it easy to check each time you bump up your core or mem.

it would be best if ya o/c both together..tests show better improvment. but yeah in many ways a bigger bandwidth is always better.

    My Core..

My core goes higher than my Memory and I know it's actually O/Cing cuz PC freezes when it gets too high. I can't move my Memory without artifacts tho. :( Stock Cooling.
