This past week has been filled with milestone achievements!

First, my very first granddaughter got married last weekend in Asheville, NC. They did not want a big wedding. So, they "eloped" and got married there and had their honeymoon at the same time. Last evening, we had a reception dinner for them in St. Simon's Island, GA.

And, this past Friday, my 16-year old grandson graduated with honors from high school..and, a year early!

So, I've been away for a few days and got back home just a couple hours ago.

    Yes, definitely in order. :)

The "elopement" was a planned event. So, we did know that they were going to exchange vows while in NC.

I never had kids, so no experience with this kinda stuff. Other people do seem to get into it though....

Should I live long enough, I'll be going through this a few more times. :)

Most of you have seen my moon photos using my ultra zoom camera. I put this camera to use during the graduation ceremony since we were sitting so far from where the platform and graduates were seated. It took place at the football stadium. Our seating was at the far end of the stadium seats. So, I took my best tripod and my zoom camera and, hoped for the best!

This first image should give an idea as to how far away our seats were located. The 2nd shot is a screen grab from the video I was taking as my grandson walked across the platform to receive his diploma. He also received his honor cord once he received his diploma. [Not seen in the still shot, but is included in the video. The lady on the far right is holding the cord to place around his neck.]
