Many rumours have been floating around today that IBM have killed the Cell Processor entirely. We spoke to an IBM spokesperson who denied this.

Good to see some people do research and not just write non-sense.

The cell has been very successful for the Ps3 for a very IMPORTANT reason.

It pretty much killed the piracy community for them. (At least for now)

But sometimes I wonder if that's why the PS3 hadn't sold very well, but then again it was very pricey, they are selling pretty quickly now that they are US $299.

    Wonder what will replace it

I'm gonna put my bets on AMD on getting a contract.
