I am trying to find a monitor stand vesa 200x200 for my 40 inch monitor, to have on portrait mode. It has to be a desk stand, not wall mounted, not clamp style. Any suggestions?

So to clarify, the purpose of this stand since you already have one that fits it, is one that you'd like to adjust right.... so height/angle adjustable mounting stand?

I want to have the monitor in portrait mode with a free standing desk stand. Height/angle adjustable is a plus, but the main purpose of it will be to have the monitor in portrait mode. It can't have a clamp as the desk is not clamp friendly. It can't be wall mounted as I don't want to drill the wall.

Have you considered this? It's top quality!

I'm joking, I know it's not even VESA compatible.

On a more serious note, good luck with your search, stands that support 40" monitors that don't either clamp or get screwed into the desk seem to be hard to find. :(
