Read the MSI GS70 Stealth Gaming Laptop Review

"Over the last couple of generations the mobile team over at MSI have started to move towards more slimline, high end chassis for their laptops. The latest model to follow that trend is the GS70 Stealth which MSI claim to be the thinnest and lightest 17" gaming laptop. Even though it contains a 4th gen i7 CPU and GTX 765 GPU. Today we are going to see how it performs in games like StarCraft 2 and Bioshock infinite as well as general computing tasks."

I can't believe the typo on the graphics on the specs section. It comes with the newest gtx 765m not the old 675m. I also need to question if the resolution output really support 5760x1080.

It does not have the dynaudio system. Otherwise this model would have the best sounding. But it's sound system is downgraded generic audio.
Lastly, the review part other than gaming performance doesn't seem like a review. It is only a talk about the basic facts on the model itself.

What a poor comparison to the Razer Blade R2 as "direct competition". Use the Razer Blade Pro to get more accurate results. The outdated R2 almost competes well with the GS70, what more for the newer version.

    Decent review, just inaccurate.

    Good laptop, regardless.

I also owned GS70, when testing with prime95, after 5minutes, the temp of cpu will reach 95C, is that alright? Some Owner of gs70 from other forum says that some of the heat sinks are not screwed well. Just curious about the cpu temp. A little too high, the laptop will restart when reach to 100C?

Too high "technically"? No... but too high for most people? Probably. The thing is though that when you are seeing the 90c's etc it isnt in a real world scenario. Very few apps are going to run the CPU and GPU both at 100% for a significant amount of time.

Very slim, impressive spec sheet and features, its definitely a better option then Razer blade pro. With all the extra ports.
The Raid is amazing, in tests (Atto) I get over 900MB/s write and read is over 1GB :D

I only wished I could turn off the god damn Optimus from nvidia and the touch pad is kinda wired, need to fiddle with the settings, but I do use external mouse anyway.

Regarding the temp, I do usually stream games and trying to do that will go over 100 in temp. Overall not a problem.

If your really afraid of the temp, just disable turbo boost and the temp will stay at 70-75C.

Good feedback, especially the turbo tip.

Yea, I use to do the same with an HP Envy a while back.

For people who don't know how to do that.
    Thats it.
