Re: i prefer better Ocing than 8x, cause after getting this, only then i knew the 8Xsucks
thankz a lot......what 'bout memory, 2100=266, 2700=333, 300=365, 3200=??, 3500=??, 4200=??, which category am i on??
That means that he bought it for a lower price because the MoBo was used. Refurbishing is just a fancy word for "cleaned/fixed" The MoBo was either cleaned or fixed. In most cases refurbished items are fine, but people sometimes don't feel comfortable with using used parts. Refurbished items usually have limited warranty with the place where it was refurbished.
I'm guessing your stock was a PC2700 @ 333Mhz
Someone, didn't like the mobo or it wouldn't work with the parts the had.
You take a chance buying refurbished parts.
A guy I know bought a refurbished mobo and when I installed it, the southbridge started to smoke.
smoke??interesting, you mean real smoke?? black ones or white ones??
nah~, it isnt it is stated PC2100 UNB CL 2 on the label....
and i mean which 3x00PC i'm now on, 382MHZ...
like don's 2700 is at 3200.
Real smoke and a nasty burnt electrical smell.
You ever see a 300 pound man cry it's not pretty.
pc 3200 is @ 400Mhz
The P4PE gives you a choice about how fast you can run your ram.
At 150fsb 400 is as fast as I can go.
what 'bout 3000 and 4200, am i not wrong??
wait a minute!!!!!! if you are running on DDR mem, then isnt 150fsb X2 =300, where does the 400mhz come from??
PC 3000 = 370
PC 4200 = ?fast though
The memory speed is independent of the fsb.
In other words I can run it faster than my fsb..
OIC............i seee, soory for the rush though..
*pssstt* (whispering) will we get scolded for posting continously=spamming(or its not??) like this??
  :w00t:
I know I had fun.
I'm maxed out..Most likely due to RAM or I'm required to raise my VCore some more. *Sigh* 3.366 GHz is my max.. My goal was 3.4! I wanted a 1 GHz O/C =/
why not just raise the Vcore and give it more juice??
Guys, what's your CPUbenchmark in sandra's03 like, i'm curious....please do post it,ok?
Answers and Benchs
Why don't I raise the VCore? Because I'm very close to the Northwood's tolerable max of 1.75 V

hmmm....that's strange, very strange indeed....you're running on almost 800fsb, right?? you did OC you memory, right?? cause i scored 8791/3992 on the CPU and 2810/2800 on the memory........must be a problem with my PC
how'bout you running it a few more times to get the highest score and see if its comparable
FSB = 748 Mhz
Almost but not quite
