"save" as in "just set them" or do I need to make a backup of something?
and could you explain to me the reason behind this procedure?

OK, so I followed your instructions, made all my settings, went into sleep, woke up, rebooted. Today: Had to reinstall the drivers again. :(
If at least the settings (headphone recognition, bass redirection, etc) would stick after a reinstallation... :-/

Hi guys! I'm having an issue with this pack.
It worked fine after a clean install of the 1.05 suite (final test edition), but if i turn off my computer with headphones plugged in, it stops changing automatically to headphones settings as it should on the next boot. I still don't know how to fix this without a drivers reinstall, because for what i see ctxfispi.exe is running in background.

Another issue that i'm having is when playing game, i have no sound on other stuff (eg. chrome, skype, dolby). This only happened after i installed PAX Drivers.. Any ideas on how to fix? I changed the communications tab to "do nothing" in Windows and disabled "exclusive mode" with no sucess.
My next step is going to reinstall Direct X, since it manages audio as well.

Im using Win 7 SP1 with an PCI XFi Platinum Champion Fatality + Front Panel

    Thanks in advance.

    UPDATE!

I finally got the Headphones detection to work again.
The problem is that somewhy and somehow the CTXFISPI is running but CTXFIHLP is not! They both need to be running in order to detect devices.

So i reenable it (windows/system32) and its working again.

If in my next boot the process is not running again, ill make a rule to load it at start as it should.

My other issue of sound muting while playing still remains :/

I don't know if it helps, but from what i know and read this drivers are prioritizing the application running, while for some users this is good in my case its not good since i get muted audio in my communications (for eg. Gaming + Skype)

The only turnaround that i did to fix this temporarily is to open and start the comms before starting the game.

Still this is not a fix procedure its a pain to do this everytime.

    Thanks.

    *UPDATE*
I only find this issue when games are in fullscreen, if they are windowed the unmute is gone !
