5/23/14 so this is good? no problem's?
I guess if no one find anything wrong :0)
With this last set, the settings in the Console Luncher doesnt save and with a Windows restart, I have to configure all again (with the 22/05 was all OK)
Lol I haven't touch console launcher in long while. Did you stop creative service before reinstall?
Weird, I thought that running the setup as an administrator would fix the driver instalattion fix, but Win 8.1 refused to install the driver,I had to disable driver sing! Does this happens to you too? I thought this problem was vanished
Yes, always I uninstall EVERYTHING from Creative before installing new drivers.
Driver Fusion + Driver Cleaner.net + .bat inc with your drivers + ccleaner + monitored log installation from Revo Uninstaller. Everything in safe mode.
then run reg fixer before installing. Make sure driver sign is disable on 8.1
Hi! I have an X-Fi xtreme music card, and some times I hear noise. I did not find any pattern when it comes, but I did notice today, that it got heavier and more constant when I was playing. The noise sounds like when a cable is broken and you move it, and it makes that "electric sounding" noise. Its not as constant as the white noise in like the TV, but really more like as the bad audio cable noise. I'm sure, it does nothing to do with my cables, since I hear it on my 5.1 and also on my headphones, that I plug into my front panel.
So, I guess it has to do something with the card it self. I also did disable the onboard realtek chip in the bios, no impact. Switching modes sometimes helps, sometimes not. Also, I noticed today that in game mode, enabled 3d, in game set to 5.1, it was barely noticeable. What really hurts is that it feels like random, sometimes it starts as soon as windows loads the drivers I guess (when it does the noise, and I do log off, it stops, I log in, and its 50/50). Sometimes restarting solves the problem, but it is still annoying as hell.
Any tip, what could it be? Thanks in advance! (P.S. I really like the tweaks, thanks )
I was having this issue too, robert. only in entertainment mode with my 2.0 speakers. it sounds like datikaa described, "electric sounding", like when a cable is broken and you move it.
I think I found a workaround, switching modes like game mode to entertainment mode and viceversa, fix this rare sound. also I think I need to close the app, program or game if I would change the mode.
Changing mode sometimes works for me too, but it's still 50/50 if it works or not
Did you check and see if there any bad caps on the sound card or loose caps plates where you plug ing the sound card? Do you a mom pc or friend to test the card again?
When I got the card it seemed just fine, but will check it again.
Edit: I did forget to mention, that when this sound artifacts are happening, it also makes a weird fast "beep" (or maybe more like popping) sound. I can make a sound exactly like that with my mic, with just tapping the front of it.
I have started to get this problem too around one month ago on my X-Fi xtreme gamer. Not sure if its driver related or my sound card is near its end. had this on 1.05 and more recent versions of 1.00
any ideas what it could be?
Try switch back to 48% mid guys let me know there copy of mid of it just delete other mid and replace the copy mid to mid and reinstalled let me know
Been tryin to go a little oldschool to see what Creative use to do and see what they mightve missed with the newer models... and try to modify it in hopes that if you see somethin you might like you could possibly use it with the newer sets. With the wdma... I mostly used the EMU20K1 sections added in the Filter section and stuck with the Xfi sections still. One idea in the ini I'm curious about is changin the speaker wording to somethin like the LFE section maybe?
Below is an old wdma_emu that I tried changin up some, a tweak idea that uses :enabled="true" at the end of each line that's turned on and a couple others... the E20KxWDM.ini and the other I'm gonna have to send as another attachment due to filesize from where I tried changin it up some in notepad which is the e20Kx2k (still tryin to improve on it some if it works)
lol It's Mid not Mids
New updated soon Should I keep the v1.10 and release it or move the build up to 1.15? I added X-Fi Crystalizer.ini and add GreatnessTreble,100% to recording and playback ini
Lol its changed now since I used it in
(some of the others I don't even use)
Here's the correct tweaks one I thought about that needs some advice... sorry guys
What you guys think up the version?
