Yeah, it started during the 1.25 release. Didn't happen before that or with the stuff Daniel K posted on Creative forum.

i have installed the 1.25 and the rest from here. There are some problems i have. First one, is that the "wave" -when i raise or lower the volume on winamp- goes down to 25% and i have to raise it on 100%. Another issue is that when i listen to music, sometimes the master volume goes to 100% without touching anything and i have it on 8-9% for example. (especially on night when i lower the volume cause everyone is sleeping). Another issue again is that the microphone can't be detected. I have the camera microphone chosen, in camera calls it works ok, on recording, it doesnt work. Checked everything about recording etc etc, from control panel, from msn panel and these stuff. Also when i have a camera call the master volume again goes in the start of the call to 100% and i have to lower it again. I think these stuff should be fixed.

gusdim What OS you on I forget ask ya? I'm testing drifter area of the tweaks in the inf to see if that fix the issue. On Vista you have go to sound properties then mic then check the check box there. So for windows 7 too.

    Hello,

First of all, I'm very pleased with you making mods on the creative drivers! They sound actually very good now!
I'm a proud user of your drivers now for a while, no problems at all!
But when I installed this new software suite, everything works fine except I can't find a tab, which used to be in the controlpanel.
It's the Dolby and DTS tab, where you can set the dynamic range, and can set how the soundcard must decode etc.

Am I doing something wrong here?
I just extracted the file, which you can download here and went to the audio map and used the setup file to instal this software suite.

    Info:
I've got a 3 years old Creative X-Fi Xtreme Music ID:
    PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_0005&SUBSYS_00211102&REV_00
    PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_0005&SUBSYS_00211102
    PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_0005&CC_040100
    PCI\VEN_1102&DEV_0005&CC_0401
    On windows 7 RC1 7100 64 bit, on AM2 hardware.

Some OEM Music cards might not have decorder tabs. There nothing I can do about it. Worst case you can buy dts and ddl pack from Creative Labs New driver coming out soon to test. This only going be driver not launcher I want see if I fix the mic setting issue first. :).

Ok I''ll wait then for the new driver;)
But from the very first creative driver (my original CD) Till this driver I always got that tab, so I think mine isn't one of those OEM cards;)

I do not want to download the 1.30 because I play the games that there are complaints about static. That would make the problem worse, not better.

I just installed it and it crackles in WoW. Lowering bass didn't do anything, I reverted back.

I appreciate your effort dude. I can only get your drivers to work in windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.

My elite pro has always had issue with vista and win7. Only recently I've been able to get this sound card to work without any BSOD hitting me.

I never had the scratchy sound issue but I can't have any of the bells and whistles working.

Installing your program with admin rights, using xp or vista compatibilities still has no effect other than telling me the hardware can't be found. Only the drivers are working and yours so far is the best yet.
I even tried safe mode. I've used game mod and 5.1 speaker choices during the setup.
    Example error,

    CTSpkWzd,

Your audio device cannot be detected. This application will now close.”

    Or,

    Creative Diagnostics,
The audio device supported by this application may not be present or may be operating in an unsupported mode. You need to close the application.”

I've removed the registry and directories, between each trial install.

    System specs,
    Processor: Intel Core2 Quad CPU Q9550 @ 2.83GHz (4 CPUs)
    Memory: Corsair 4096MB RAM
    Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 750GB
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280
    Monitor: LG Flatron Wide L204WT
Sound Card: Creative SB X-Fi Elite Pro Retail / SB X-Fi Extreme Music OEM removed.
    Speakers : Logitech Z-640
    Keyboard: Logitech G-15
Mouse: Logitech MX-518 Optical Gaming Mouse
Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
    Motherboard: nForce 790i Mobo board
Computer Case: Dell XPS 730 Modified

I replaced the extreme music with my older elite pro. Both cards work flawless in my older rig and in XP but not in vista or win7. 64Bit or 32bit. Doesn't make a difference. I'm wondering if creative purposely did this...?

Keep up the great work dude.

    Thanks,

    WH
