    anyone remember the 2.20.0001 beta drivers? I remember using them ages ago and they worked fine on my card, can't remember why I stopped using them, anyway, how about updating the pax drivers with those as they are the newest.

    6.0.1.1402 26/05/10

    as opposed to 6.0.1.1375 05/05/10

    btw I just found the drivers on the auzentech site again and they aren't beta anymore!:)

    edit, there's 3 other x-fi driver packs on there that look like they've been updated since I last looked, gonna download them all and compare driver versions.

    yup as I thought, they have been updated since, I found the original beta on the creative forums, amazingly the rs link was still active. The beta is dated 29/06/09 and is build 6.0.1.1401

    ok, checked the other sets, AZT_FORTE71_V1.21_SWPACK_30JUL10 is the one with the latest drivers , below is extract from inf;

    ; Modified Date: 26 May 2010
    ; Version: 2.20.0000.27
    ;
    ;-------------------------------------------------------------------------
    [Version]
    Signature="$Windows NT$"
    Class=MEDIA
    ClassGUID={4d36e96c-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}
    provider=%CREAF%
    DriverVer=05/26/2010, 6.0.01.1402

    I've also checked the .sys files digital signitures and they are all 26/05/10.

    I hope you don't mind, but i've updated the drivers folder and modified the inf as follows;

    ; Modified Date: 26 May 2011
    ; Version: 2.20.0000.27
    ;
    ;-------------------------------------------------------------------------
    [Version]
    Signature="$Windows NT$"
    Class=MEDIA
    ClassGUID={4d36e96c-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}
    provider=%CREAF%
    DriverVer=05/26/2011, 6.0.01.1402

    I also added the bits for the new sys file ha20x22k.sys that doesn't appear in the other drivers, I don't recall getting any bsods with the beta so can I share it? I've just zipped up the driver folder only and haven't changed any references to pax or yourself.

    also the APOIM @ \Creative Entertainment Center\CTShared\CTRedist\APOIM is a bit older than the ones in the FORTE driver.

    no replies, oh well,

    here's the updated drivers;

    x86 & x64 - 34.2 mb : http://www.mediafire.com/?6qkr6qg934qqi8o

    inf remains the same, just changed version, date and added bits for the extra sys file, repacked, removed .rra temp files to slim it down.
    All X-Fi cards that were supported are still supported by the inf.

    Again, I have not removed any pax references from your inf so credit to you for the tweaks etc.

    Tested on music & dvd, they sound real good.

    [IMG]

    be cool if they could integrated into the next release.

    seriously? no one wants to try some newer x-fi drivers? they are newer than the 1375/76 drivers.

    I only dated them 26/05/11 because of the inf edit and the fact that they original were from 26/05/10 as well.
    I thought the point of releasing these sets was to keep us x-fi users up-to-date, makes sense to update the drivers when available too.

    did a forum serarch and they have been mentioned before, just wondering why they weren't included yet? they provide excellent sound quality.

    Hi there.

    I'll gladly give these drivers a shot, but if you think these are indeed worth basing future PAX releases on, try PM'ing Robert McClelland directly perhaps?

    Anyway, thanks for your efforts :)

    Edit: Or at least I would if I could, Mediafire wont work :(

    I just re-uploaded it with APOIM 2.94.00 from the x-fi mb 1.9.

    hi, no prob, yea i'm on pci x-fi, love my card, hasn't let me down yet :) Cool news about another release, will give it a whirl.

    hey robert, i've spent all crawling around in creative's ftp and found lots of updated software and even some new x-fi drivers, it seems creative re-released the last pci set the other day (it's on the x-fi support page) all I can see that is different is the inf version & dates, the drivers are still the same build wise.

    I also found a new titanium pci-e driver;

    Version: 3.00.1006
    05/19/2011, 6.0.300.1006

    I've spent several hours updating all the software in pax suite I downloaded recently so it's now even fresher, i'm about to test out these titanium drivers on my card, I used the inf from the re-released pci x-fi drivers, so it's all stock, i got rid of any extra system files because they seem to be for the pcie card.

    I think i'll just be doing this for my own personal tinkering, but if it works out may I share it with the community? i've pretty much replaced everything in the pack now and it's more vanilla-creative than pax now.

    for my project I have tried to re-create a creative x-fi installer cd, I have restored 95% of the software back to what it was before (i.e. no PAX logos or anything customized) although I am using your latest inf, i have just altered the build numbers so I know what i've got installed.

    and because of this, i'll just be keeping it as my personal project, i.e. I will not upload it everywhere claiming credit. out of respect for you, the one who has allowed us x-fi owners to continue using our awesome cards to the max! :)

    I have done this because i'm a bit of update freak, I like to have the newest bits installed :)

    p.s. There's lots of goodies on the creative ftp! updates updaaatttees!

    one issue left, ; out the DTS Nero references because it disabled CMSS-3D on my system, btw is that a spelling mistake? shouldn't in be Neo? as in DTS Neo:6?

    my bad, it seems the dts neo:6 app i installed yesterday didn't uninstall correctly. so no problems with your tweaks.
