Sweet pic Trusteft.
From a distance of 4km+ zoomed in, standing up, handheld, pretty damn good photo IMO.
Now this is obviously (unfortunately) not a photo I took. All the photos I had from that time were lost.
Anyway, this is the ship I served on in the mid 90s. Not my only post but my most memorable.
We thank you for your service.
I can't imagine the memories that seeing that ship brings back.
Both good and bad, mostly good. I wouldn't trade them for anything.
Personally I am against wars and countries having militaries but I mean I personally think the soldiers in the army are just used by more powerful people so it isn't exactly their fault.
Yeah but you are a socialist. You are bound to think stupid things from time to time.
If armies are good or not, take a look at ISIS and imagine what it would be like if there were no armies to stop them.
What does that translate to?
Street name and number.
"King (the Greek word is longer so they cut it) George (number) 20"
The monument of (for) the Thracian sailors who fought during the Greek war of independence.
That looks like it would make a good silver coin.
I don't get the reference.
Like for example they have a silver coin that comes out of America called the American Silver Eagle and it has on one side Lady Liberty (from the Statue of Liberty) walking.
Ah, ok. Not going to happen as it (monument) is a) Too specific b) too late as we have the Euro.
Cool idea though.
Separate names with a comma.
