CM Hyper 212 Evo with dual fans and real thermal paste (AS5 or better) keeps my CPU on par with H60 V2 / H75 AIO coolers, maybe even H80i strength.
Quieter too. AIO's just seem not be worth it unless H100i, CM 240L or better.
Nothing like a custom loop though.

As for the GTX 780 I have had it for months and got it shortly after it's initial release. It crashed and came back in x8/ mode only.
At the time I paid the full $615US for it.

^ yep yep yep, a good big HSF is quieter than one of those Corsair things in my experience
why i dumped mine when i got my Matterhorn, never hear my cpu fan these days, even when i'm up at 3.8ghz :)

I had to share this: an authentic photo of youth volunteers working on construction of a freeway during the sixties or the seventies (Belgrade, former Yugoslavia). Apart from the fact of how strange the concept seems nowadays, congrats to the guy who married the girl in the middle!

I'm so sick fed up of my ISP
I'm the only person in the house, there's just my rig connected, and it's 1:30pm.
and the net is so fecking slow it's almost unusable. just speed tested and I'm getting 0.4Mbps down :annoyed:

I pay 30 fucking quid every month for this !

Bought my first Humble Bundle today, I don't know why I've never done this before (or even kept a closer eye on the bundles)...

    The jumbo bundle has:
    -Garry's Mod
-Magicka + 2 DLCs (one of the reasons I bought - awesome game)
-Natural Selection 2 (main reason I bought - looks cool)
-Orcs Must Die! 1 and 2
    -Sanctum 1 and 2
    -Serious Sam 3: BFE

    your first isaak ! :wtf:

    you've been missing out mate
the Origin bundle earlier in the year was killer for example:
    Dead Space
    Dead Space 3
    Crysis 2 Max Ed
    Burnout Paradise
    MoH
    Mirrors Edge
    BF3
    C&C:RA3
    Populous

then there was the one where you got:
    F.E.A.R <- all of them
    Batman Arkham Asylum GOTY
    Batman Arkham City GOTY
LOTR: War in the North + DLC
    Scribblenauts UL
Guardians of Middle Earth + DLC
    Mortal Kombat Kollection

and those are just two recent ones that I can think of, that's not even to mention all the fabulous indie games (Hammerfight, VVVV, Crayon Physics, Machinarium, Cogs etc etc)

hell, humble bundle's one of the main reasons I've got 200+ games in my Steam library these days, I always check it out :)

TL-DR ? in short, Humble Bundles are frequently awesome, always check them out

edit: keep an eye on Bundle Stars too, sometimes worth a punt
ok, this one won't be for everyone, but this is the last I bought, perfect for me :)
(that Off-Road game is a wee gem imo)

That first bundle you mentioned is crazy

Had a serious problem in Harrogate with Virgin. We paid for the best they could offer and found that our up and downstream was terrible. For weeks we called and finally a chap came over and told us that the house needed to be "wired" for a higher bandwidth? WHAT?
We complained bitterly that the installer should have noticed this or made further recommendations.
After a month it was sorted but we had to get some upgrades.
I hate Virgin and was glad to return to Cambridge and get decent service again for a fraction of the cost.
