Been a very busy week or so...

I have been working with my Brother in law for the last 23 years on a daily wage, however I'm getting a little older. I do need to increase my income, for many reasons..

I have now bought into half of his business, just seems a little strange that I can now work without being told what to do o_O

Well, finally got back to working. Got a new job this summer but didn't get to work for more than a week until I did a health check and they found my blood sugar was way to high. So, I've worked hard with food and excersise for a month and finally everything is back to normal and I can work again.

Good for you. Health is always more important than wealth. Wealth is important too though.

For the last two weeks I have a Error message coming up on my dashboard that the Low Beam on my volvo is not working, Swapped the bulb.. and everything were ok for three days (Give or take) and then the same message popped up again..

All connections were fine including the H7 Bulb.. Once the bulb were removed and replaced all were fine.. Until this morning the same error came up..

This time the connectors surrounding were bubbled up.. Not to sure on the cause apart from the connecter is a little loose from the years.

I know the headlight is internally wired so to get hold of a H Block connecter from a identical headlight would not be possible, a replacement from a breakers yard would be £100 + VAT..

So the best option were to give this a try.. at the cost of £2.

all soldered and heat shrink into place.. All works but a week or so driving will be in order.

Hope that fixes the problem @MIG-31.

This is a really beautiful concept if I ever did see one.

So... My tablet (Lenovo Tab 4 8) slid out of my bag and onto the concrete as I was getting out of a car tonight. Front glass shattered. :( I was looking at the compatible replacement prices on Aliexpress and I'm not sure it's worth it. $40-$50 for one of the compatible parts which don't seem to be of the highest quality (a noticeable portion is DOA or not 100% working) and then a certain amount for the replacement procedure (doesn't look like something I'd do myself, too much glue to wrestle with without damaging anything), I don't know if it's worth repairing.

well that sucks donkey balls :(
with tablets being essentially a niche product these days due to how the sales have bombed, it’s harder to find decent quality cheap ones like you could a couple years back as well.
(example: despite a smashed screen, my dual boot Chuwi is still going strong. think I paid £50 new..)
I do see the Amazon things being sold cheap 2nd hand on local ads fairly often, that a possibility?

Thanks for the advice, I'm not sure, I don't think the local second hand market is very strong. I think I'll leave it be for a while, I only returned from a vacation last week and today I bought a new set of speakers to replace my old stereo system, so I'd like to try to limit my spending for a bit, if possible. :/

BTW, my old stereo is nearly 20 years old, the cassette decks stopped working ages ago, the CD player is on it's last legs (if it still works), the remote is long gone and if you press any control button on the main unit, 3/4 times it will activate a completely wrong function. I had it hooked to the PC and the speakers and the amp are still quite fine, but it randomly loses one or now sometimes both channels, which I used to "fix" by messing with the headphone jack, except, as of some time ago, it has become nearly impossible to make it power both speakers at once so, given its age and all the other electrical issues, I thought I'd replace it.
