Microlab Solo 6C. It's a 2.0 set of speakers with the amp built into the right one. The brand isn't very well known, but they are really good speakers for the price (100€). People say that they are about the quality of entry level studio monitors, which I wouldn't know about, but I'm definitely happy with the sound they deliver. Also, at 2x50W, they are powerful enough for starting a war with the neighbours (which I'll try to avoid, so I haven't tested them at nearly the full power).

They look nicer than the pics shown online, although the design is quite retro, together with the red seven segment LED display showing the current volume at the bottom of one of the, otherwise serious looking, dark brown wooden boxes with black fabric speaker covers. I'll probably post some pics and more impressions tomorrow as it's really late here right now. :D

Can you believe this is an electric bike? The Blix Aveny Dutch-style electric bike to be exact.

A buddy is building something very much like that! :) He's almost done building the battery, has the engine on the wheel, he recently got the throttle he ordered... I haven't seen the rest of the bicycle though. :D

In other news, my boss tripped on a bicycle rack and got a quadruple shoulder fracture. His surgery is scheduled for Monday, I hope they'll manage to put him back together.

Apparently this is an old Toyota concept, the 2000GT, found it on some car site. Isn't it lovely?

Do you guys have Internet "bots" in your countries? I mean people hired by, say, a political party to leave comments in their favour and up or downvote other comments accordingly? I posted a comment that, after publishing, had 1 upvote and 0 downvotes and when I next refreshed the page (minutes later) it was 1:146. :D It's ridiculous, they are on every news portal, on every article that can even mildly be made political (and some for which that shouldn't be possible).

Yes, bots transcend both space and time unfortunately.

Saw it in action the other night. It's not 100% finished (the electric part is working, but the pedals are not at the moment). It looks quite good and with a fully charged battery, it can exceed 50km/h (30mph).

On an unrelated note, like a boss:

My little bro got a license plate for his car which has 666 in it, and my dad and mum want him to change it, as they are very religious, but he always jokes that most people don't like tail gating him so he might keep it. :D

the real ‘number of the beast’ is probably 616, a lot of scholars think that the 666 thing was an ancient mistranslation or something like that.
so tell your folks that and they should be fine with it ;)

Tell him to mount the plate upside down... Problem solved.

Of course there will be new problems, like getting pulled over by the cops all the time....

Fun fact that I was not aware of: between 1815 and 1830, the French national flag was actually completely white. :D

An unrelated question: any of you guys using Xbox 360 or Xbox One (or compatible) controllers with the PC? Which one is better in terms of compatibility? I know that, for ages, every game that supported a controller on the PC, worked with Xbox 360 compatible controllers, but I seem to remember at least one instance where they were not and the one for Xbox One was required..

I think these days you'll find that most controllers can be used with the PC, it's just your pick on which one you want to use. :)

A buddy/co-worker went to a Halloween party last night. Some guy came as the headless horseman - on a horse which he tied in front of the club. Then the cops showed up! :D
