the new iPad’s are gorgeous, but I only just noticed that they’ve got stupid fecking sticking out cameras
    that’s ruined that then.

can just about put up with that on my phone, but not gonna be happy with that on my iPad.
might just have a new battery put in my Air2 tbh

Everyone devolves into Judas given enough time, Judas is just an early bloomer.

I guess that's where a tablet would come in handy, however with a laptop you can keep your thighs warm in the winter. :)

Also, tablets lack the raw horsepower that laptops have.

I'm sorry to hear that. :(

Thing about pets is they live such a short time.

Pets have different life averages so that is a incorrect statement.

Tortoises can live a very long time, some to the ripe old age of 150. However, the average age a tortoise can live to ranges from 90 to 150 years. ;)

You Know that I have mentioned in the past the my Dad has alziemers. He claims he does all the House work, as in cooking, Gardening etc etc and it goes on..

As I have cameras set up to keep a eye on him I found this part hilarious..

And I thought he were not going to notice the ready made dinner arrived.

just in my little tiny local shop 10 mins before closing, and there’s a member of staff busily filling a huge bin bag with perfectly, perfectly edible food, including mountains of fresh veg, all because it all comes sitting in a little open plastic bag with a fucking stupid Use By date on it

all heading straight for the bin.
drives me nuts that does :(

During the great depression they would routinely pour out bad milk, and throw out bad food instead of just giving it away to people who were hungry and needed it. Capitalism.

we have record numbers who completely rely on food banks in this country these days, and yet the major supermarkets throw out billions of £££ of perfectly serviceable food every year.
    it’s a goddamn disgrace :(

I've volunteered at one of our local food banks before and the situation there was rather good, because Saskatoon is sort of a farming town or rather in a province surrounded by farms in outlying areas, people brought way too much food to the food bank, they had TONNES of food in storage, it warmed the cockles of my heart to see how kind people are here, that they do give. Some stores do give food to the food banks here too. As well as the shelters. I've volunteered at a shelter serving people in the dining area and cooking for them as well so I know (although I don't know how to cook so I would do things like peel potatoes and such).

France has a law requiring the large chains to donate such food. I don't know if forcing someone to donate is the way to go, but maybe it could be arranged that the food getting to the best before date could be made available to food banks or charities at maybe 10% of the face value - everybody wins.

The system I'm working on has the option to debug a rogue process. The fact that when you select a process and click Debug there is a dialogue asking "Do you wish to remove errors from the process?", with the default option being "No" is very amusing to me.
