I'm using my optical drive to install something! :D It has been a while. I'm installing MS Office 2016, which I cannot install from the web because I don't want to tie the key to my Microsoft account (because the license belongs to my company) and I couldn't find a way around that (I guess I could have found an unmodified installation image, but I was wary of the reliability of the sources).

I had a reeeally weird internet issue a moment ago - I lost all connection to the outside world - VPN to my client, couldn't get any web site... except a live stream which was going in the background over YouTube which went on just fine. I was curious so I waited for at least 10 minutes and nothing changed - the stream was still going, I was still unable to reach google.com or any other web site.

It must have been some weird Windows bug because the PC was showing that I was connected to the office WiFi and all the other devices connected to it were able to access the net just fine.

It's been very temperamental for the last three days.. (The forums that is) ;)

Been a busy weekend, As we had a rare heatwave last year it scorched our grass on the front and rear of our house... The front Never recovered..

So this is the result of about a ten hours of general garden maintenance.. :) pretty pleased with the result..

I would love to say it is real grass, It is Artificial Grass this time. ;)

A treated wood surround, All levelled around the surroundings. About a tonne of sand compacted within the borders which I had set..

A 3" wide feather board surrounding to hide the Screws and Washers the secures the artificial grass...

looks like a small bedroom sized plot.... all one could really do is indeed lay on it or setup a pong table and give it a whirl.

Does anyone use Massdrop? I've been hearing about it a lot lately and since I was trying to find a pair of headphones that sounds nice and doesn't cost an arm and a leg and I ended up going for these. Supposedly (according to several people from Head Fi forum who have bought it) the sound does match that of the "normal" AKG K240 and they deliver to Serbia at a reasonable cost ($8, for some other places, or at least the US, shipping is free), so, despite originally wanting to spend around a half of the amount, I actually pulled the trigger.

the missus is moving her pottery studio, so hired a van and did all the big stuff today, including the ‘spare’ pottery wheel.
so for the first time in 10 years I can walk in & out of my house without going sideways to get up and down the hall :D

    it’s strange tbh
hell I’ll be able to carry shopping bags into the house normally too
don’t even remember what that’s like

guess she’ll be spending even less time at home now

    excellent :)

never mind all the ‘other’, even just the injury nightmares he’s suffered make it astonishing tbh
he resorted to having his spine surgically fused to allow him to continue playing ffs

I’m not sure he’s anyone’s favourite person, but as a sportsman he’s right right up there.

on a slightly different note, Valentino Rossi was 2nd again today, at the ripe old age of 40.
he’s definitely gonna grab a win or 2 this season, I can feel it :)
