A little late Xmas present to myself.

A mk1 avro Lancaster damn busters limited edition bomber. Its a 1:72 scale and is bigger than I expected it to be.

    ImageUploadedByTapatalk1451559430.447454.jpg

And just to show for scale next to my Hurrican & spitfire which are 1:48 scale models.

And compared to the Avro Vulcan @ 1:72 scale.

Got a nice package from Amazon this afternoon! Before leaving for work, I only have a few moments to put up a couple of photos.

And, again, thanks to Calliers for the contest in the Gaming Discussion forum!

    New year fun...

    [IMG]IMG_0310 by CosmicLogos, on Flickr

Finale fires off it's load in 8 seconds... most expensive firework I bought... but so epic it was hard to say no:

    Little warmup:

    Decent sized rockets:

    This looks good :)

    50mm mortars:

Bought this on a whim from the local supermarket for the equivalent of a tenner... doesn't look like I made a mistake:

This one looks pretty awesome too, not the best video - but gives you a good idea:

I missed bonfire night in the UK this year, so I think I'm more than making up for it at NYE... good chance it will be the biggest display in this town lol

    + our videos...

They were awesome! :D Very pleased with the results... as were half of the town... I **** you not, there was a massive cheer from multiple directions from various people that we had no idea were watching... we were all surprised by how many :D Especially after the finale...

Not the best videos, but here's a handful:

This was not planned. I had a tiny interest in the game but not enough to buy it till now. A large store chain had a promotion where if you bought one of several products, you would get a 20% off coupon for any future purchase no matter what the cost. So, I checked what game was the cheapest and got it. I know it's a solid (heh) game too so all is good. :)

Didn't you know it is in bad taste to ask prices in the Show your new stuff thread? It's almost like asking how much a bottle of wine is. :p

Who buys bottles of wine? Carton (box) for me.
    High class.
Just kidding, I rarely drink any alcohol.

I rarely drink myself but I do drink a lot of wine, responsibly I might add, with meals. Wine, especially red wine, is very healthy for you.

When I say rarely I mean like a can/bottle of beer every 6 months or a bottle of Drambuie every 18months or something like that. If you drink with every meal that's not rarely :p
Wine is good for you, but what is even better is not drinking any.

Nah, I don't count wine as drinking lol.

I do drink a beer or two once every month or so. As for the stronger stuff maybe once every 3 or 6 months. With friends.

    It was epic :)

Most expensive firework of the lot... even then, it wasn't that pricey, really... about 110GB / $170-180USD

Probably pay twice that for something similar in the UK.

    not necessarily true
there's plenty of evidence to suggest that a moderate amount of wine is actually positively beneficial to your health

Drove up to Fry's today after my CI appointment. They didn't have what I went there to get, but, since I was there...
