I got really tired of having to switch the connections between my PC and my consoles. So, I went with this Wireless set. For me, Logitech has the most comfortable headsets I've owned to date. With my cochlear implants and what appears to others as over the ear hearing aids, I need something that will fit over the parts. This does the job and it's surround sound as well.

The retail list price is at $199 USD. But Micro Center had them marked down and an instant $10 off to boot. Final price before taxes: $129.99.

With the dongle, they work flawlessly with the PC. So, I can use the other set with the XBOX.

Not really sure what you're asking. The wired headphones have to be plugged into whichever unit I'm wanting to use them with. Since I switch between PC and XBOX a LOT...it got to be a bit of a hassle. And, then there's the PS4, too....but not used nearly as much as the other two.

If u use the same monitor/tv for them then you only have to plug the headphones to the tv and set the audio out of the consoles/PC to hdmi.
    That's what I do.
Well, technically I also do some other stuff, but that's because I also record them so they don't matter.

Being new to the audio world...after 30 years deaf....a lot I still have to learn. :)

Sooo...how would this work with chat via the headset?

I don't know about console chat as I have never used it. PC it depends on the type of mic you are using. But it shouldn't affect it unless it is a wireless headset.
If it's a wired headset (3.5mm connections) then just plug in the mic connection to the mic port.
If you are using a separate USB (or 3.5mm) microphone only for your PC, again you just set as playback device your TV and as Recording device the relevant microphone.

is that the MBAFF version of lost in space... that looks like utter shit on an HD tv.... or is that an imported one that was done in progressive scan with proper colours

if it's mbaff, the dvd version is vastly superior.

I haven't watched the film yet. Any way to tell from the packaging/disc?

I don't have my 2 copies on hand at this very moment but i'll take another look. However far as i can tell, not that i'm aware of. I think the outer packaging was actually incorrect.

What you should notice is "interlacing" artifacts and poor colour saturation. It'll look like someone took a heavily interlaced video that was recorded as 480i AT best and upscaled it massively, then transcoded with maintaining the visual artifacts as a progressive video. If you insert the disc into a computer and use mediainfo to read the file information, it should say MBAFF under "scan type". If it's anything but progressive, it's bullshit imo. Frankly how the hell, why the hell they would do this is beyond me, i was right pissed off.

I had dug for information trying to find another bluray, as quite often the different region blurays will have VASTLY different encoding and mastering compared to others. I think Region B or C has a version, very rare version, where it is actually progressive AND the colours are accurate, but the overwhelming majority would get vastly superior picture quality out of a proper DVD version of the film.

Pulled the trigger -- plastic, that is -- and picked this up this afternoon. My brother, in town from Florida, is going to buy my R9-390. So, after carrying some cash around since Christmas, I decided to go for the RX 590...shown here...

@Dyre Straits why didn't you go for a Vega 56 or 64? Although that is a nice card.

This card was $249 USD. Since my brother is buying my R9 390, the out of pocket for me is only $149. :) Vega cards are still beyond my desired budget price. AND, the cash I've been carrying since Christmas covers all of this. ;)
