I've got a question about how to wipe old SSDs clean. I've two from my last build that I'm no longer going to use and am going to sell them to a friend for new computer he is planning. What the best way to wipe them before I sell them? They are both Samsung 950 EVO SSD.

Pretty much any hard drive erasing software that uses the Secure Erase command should work. Since they are both Samsung drives try Samsung Magician. Also check your motherboard bios. Some have a built in secure erase option.

    diskpart clean or clean all

alternatively secure erase... which is a UEFI tool on asrock boards i know among a few others... under the tools options, just make certain you select the right drive otherwise you're screwed

I wonder if Seatools would work. I haven't used it in some time and I don't remember the options there.

I use PartedMagic (basically a Linux Live Disc) and it's erase app... has many different forms of erase, but all you need is the Secure Erase.
