The New Celeron4's

    For those who aren't aware.....the new Celeron 1.7 is a P4-based, 478 socket chip.
    I've been running, and liking, Celerons since the legendary 366.

    Anyway, I got this chip in yesterday from newegg.com (far as I can tell, they're the only stateside folks who have them so far). Spend only about 15 minutes with it.
    First thing I did was OC it to 110fsb - 1.8G. It 'felt' strong. Will be focusing on its OC-ability later in the week/weekend on a Asus P4B.
    If anyone's interested I'll drop by here with an OC report and some benchmarks.

    Please keep us updated....I was always wondering what those new puppies can do. Post some benchmarks for us all. :)

    In no way is the current form of the p4 celery will o/c as well as the northwoods.

    they are on the .18 process vs the .13 of the northwoods.

    I kinda want to know what the impact of 128 vs 256k cache on the celery will have. :D
