very true. Flexibility would be a big issue when keeping a system cool

I've seen a few cases at newegg where they have two fans on the side panel right where the motherboard would be and are in virtually the same place where your fans are:) very usefull for people who wanna keep the side panel on.

;) it is just really clean. the 2nf fan is held up by the 'arm' zardon has been talking about.

I recently hacked a big hole in the side of my (Lian Li!) case for a low RPM 120mm fan. . .after I regained consciousness and installed the fan, I saw a pretty good drop in temps across the board. . .it blows over my RAM, NB and CPU.

Now that I see it in action, I feel a large side panel fan is mandatory. . .it got me a 25% overclock on my new Northy rig!

    p.s. Pic later. . .

Hmm, I recieved new parts for a socket 939 rig on Friday, and my plan was to move my Athlon XP system to a cheap case (not for me anymore), drill the holes out of my nice AOpen case, and replace the crummy little metal holes with real grills.

Next time, I will make sure to get the appropriate holesaws beforehand, as all my new parts are still sitting on the table with my nice un-holed case, and I'm going to the hardware store on Monday to order a holesaw. :p

Check out the ThermalTake Shark.1 120 on the front and 1 120 in the back. And 2 HUGE grilles on the case door for air to escape. With an FX-53 and a BFG 600 ULTRA it never goes over 49.But I have an XP-120 on the 53 also....As soon as my wife cools down over the SLi rig i'm gonna put a Zalman Reserator on the Shark rig too.The Zalman is BIG but the workmanship is second to none. The SLi rig never runs over 44C.It idles at 27C.If i'm gonna go for a 3DMARK05 speed run I will dip about a quart of water out of it and freeze some distilled water and dump ice cubes in it.For about an hour she's chillen!I wanna take the FX-57 as soon as it comes out and build another SLi rig with VapoChill but it would mean divorce court fer sure.....But as my dad always said"Where there's a will, there's a way".

that would be great for people(like zardon) who are constantly reconfiguring thier comps &/or into heavy duty cooling methods.
wouls not want to use it in high dust enviroments or if you had spider/bug problems;)
    or kids:D
really would be interested in the air flow & db of that fan.
it looks like the rom drives are just sitting there unsecured. that could be an issue.
still this could be nice setup for you zardon which means you would no longer need that stacker case you have coming.....
