Mafia, for sure.
From what I saw , the new cover system and stuff makes me think Max payne 3 isn't what we used to be.
Crysis 2, because. And that's from a now non-gamer.
Bad Company 2. Just fot the MP alone....It's just super smashing great!
BC2 for the multi-player, the single player campaign is dreadful, well not dreadful, just dull and uninspired. It's also short.
Perhaps Crysis 2 when it comes out, the E3 demo was quite OK. I also enjoyed the Max Payne games in the past, even if they seemed to trail here and there.
It's a bit too soon to choose really, but I can tell you right now, it's not going to be Bioshock 2, Halo Reach or MAG (whatever that is)...
Max Payne 3 and Crysis 2 aren't 2010 anymore.
i were for Crysis 2 at least until the delay were announced a short while ago... (Which got my Vote)
As i already have Bioshock 2 nothing else in the poll appeals to me..
Many good games released so far, tough to choose. Even more games are going to be released soon, great games. Hmm, Civilization V perhaps, Armada 2526, Red Dead Redemption, Alpha Protocol, Victoria II, and on and on.
I haven't even heard of some of those.. armada and victoria for example..
but hell, now I'm a student I can't afford the game and I can't afford the time playing them.. haha
Victoria II is based on the Europa Universalis series of games. You control a country from the early 19th to 1936 (iirc). The first game is on sale at Gamersgate for like a fiver, but Victoria 2 is being released this week and it has many improvements.
Armada 2526 is a sequel to the game Armada 2525 which was released in late 80's IIRC. It is a 4X in space game. A very good game IMO.
I vote for Halo Reach......The multiplayer of all Halo series is just Legendary. Its the best and the most intense sci-fi FPS I ever played.
Uh, I can't vote for StarCraft II. So, your poll is invalid.
vote of metroid Other M too.....
I've been playing SC2 mostly.
Late to this thread but the first question I had was....
"Where is Mass Effect 2 in this list?"
Then, of course, a few of the ones mentioned got delayed into next year....or whenever.
But, Halo Reach, I did quite enjoy.
Mafia II I'll be playing again at some point.
But, the game I've been playing over and over is Alpha Protocol.
I would NOT, however, put that as the best game of the year over Mass Effect 2!
I've also put a lot of hours into Red Dead Redemption on the 360 since I got the console in July.
As for Star Craft II: I really, really wish I could get into these strategy games. It's so intriguing and seems to have a decent story. But, it doesn't actually come across to me as "entertainment" as much as it's a "chore" to keep up with what's going on all the time.
Then, of course, there's Star Trek Online. While many had predicted a short lifespan for the series, it seems to actually be getting better and better. But, one does have to wonder just how far they can go with it and keep it lively. I've had the game since the Beta and bought the Lifetime Sub. The most recent upgrades have done wonders for the overall appearance and functions of the game.
Now...back to our regularly scheduled programming.....
I love playing BattleField: Bad Company 2
