Just finished watching the 2014 Godzilla movie. Much better than the 6.4 on IMDB.
Good solid 8.0
I watched Bird Box.
Quite a mysterious premise - people start committing suicide en masse for no apparent reason. The phenomena spreads all over the world until there are small pockets of survivors left who have managed to keep themselves safe. They come to understand what they need to do to not succumb. A cynical woman finds herself a guardian to two children and needs to take them on a dangerous journey.
Kind of a B movie but I was engaged by it, worth watching.
Also just watched that it really feels like am M Night Shamalyan movie
Really? That's terrible. I was planning on watching it.
Its worth a watch but the ending really has that MNS kind of twist I saw it coming 10 seconds before it happened .... however it is kind of good (especially if you liked the quiet place)
Watched Bandersnatch and Bumblebee. I really did not enjoy Bandersnatch but Bumblebee was alright.
Also watched Venom, now that was an excellent movie.
Watched A.X.L. and even though the acting wasn't on point, the movie's special effects weren't bad. Also the concept was pretty cool, just think that a better studio would have been able to do more with it.
Haven't seen it yet, but, taking three of my grandkids this evening to the theater to see, Alita: Battle Angel.
I don't get out to the movies very often at all. But, this one is sort of a birthday gift to the grandkids: ages 16, 13, and 11.
UPDATE: We all enjoyed the movie. I took the three grandkids to dinner first, then the movie, and followed up with some dessert before taking them home. My son and d-i-l also joined us at the movie.
The movie is jam-packed with action! I do wish they could have fleshed out the characters a bit more. But, I guess that's hard to do with androids.
re-watched Build My Gallows High
(Out Of The Past in US, they never liked film titles that reference death for some reason ) the other day, still an absolute nailed-on classic
I like the look of Alita : Battle Angel, might consider going to IMAX to watch it. I'd like to see it out do Captain Feminist at the box office. I'm sure 'Valley Girl', Brie Larson wouldn't want another white male to go see it anyhow
I alita battle angel.... was quite enjoyable, the 3D was quite good in most of it... not amazing though. And though for some people it ended on a definite "this needs a sequel immediately" point, the general story worked out quite well, and i specially liked how not everything is sunshine and roses like how most other movies tend to always go right at the end.
Watched Aquaman a few days ago and I wasn't expecting much from it, it surprised me by how good it was. I now respect Aquaman as a hero and not just for his character anymore (which I rather enjoyed in the movie in which I first saw him, the one which had a bunch of super heroes in it, forget the name).
Also watched Mortal Engines this morning and I loved it, a review I read (I think on Rotten Tomatoes) said it was just about action and that was all but it had some touching moments as well.
Saw Captain Marvel this past Sunday with son and daughter-in-law. We watched it on IMAX. I quite enjoyed it. They did a nice tribute to Stan Lee.
Saw Wildling last night and I loved it. If you were a big fan of Teen Wolf you'll appreciate it.
I don't normally post anything in here..
I watched Bohemian Rhapsody (And is still my favourite Track) last night... Great Film through out if you like queen this is a must watch...
Rami Malek played a superb take of Freddie Mercury
We watched as well and yeah the tribute was nice
