Awww, I was hoping that they wouldn't mess it up. Well I have a tendency to give movies a lot of leeway on how good they are to me and whether or not I enjoy them so I'm sure I'll enjoy it.

I also watched this movie called Captive State, you can find it on Netflix. I found it disappointing although if you want something to just fill up some free time and don't mind watching a mediocre alien movie then I recommend it. It's kind of like a quilt, some parts bad, some parts good.

I just watched Crimson Peak. Came out in 2015 but I'd never heard of it, good cast - Mia Wasikowska, Tom Hiddleston & Jessica Chastain. It's a stylised, gothic story with some supernatural elements set at about the turn of the 20th Century. Some nice cinematography, I like movies of that period - a sort of colourful grimness.

Saw MiB:Intl with my son and daughter-in-law. We found it entertaining enough.

You mean Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi? Trying to match that combo would be a "Mission Impossible". ;)

Having started the game, Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, and, not ever seeing any of the movies, I just rented Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone on Amazon Prime.

I thought it was a fine movie. I'll be looking for some good deals on the series...possibly in Blu-Ray. Although we have fiber optic Internet here, the online movie wasn't the best quality for what I have here to view it on.

First 2 films are very different from what comes after, tone changes and they become a little more mature .... fine set of films

I saw Brightburn, and I always wondered what it would be like if....

Superman was evil, and not good, and that's exactly what this movie is, it's soooo good.

10/10. First movie I'd say it is perfect, also just the way it ended, so so good.

I watched Alita Battle Angel, I felt that even if it was a great movie it was not well paced, and they should have been able to jam pack more of the story in there, in the end you feel like it ends when it was just getting good. They spend too much time on the luvy duvy stuff. But that's just me, you'll probably enjoy it. 7/10.

I mentioned having seen this movie back in Feb. I felt that they hadn't developed the characters well enough.

I have a feeling they were relying on the anime/manga's fans who already know the whole back story to like the film.

I watched Escape Plan, can't believe I didn't pay this movie any mind when it came out, got the trilogy and will be watching the other two soon, fun fun fun!

I watched Escape Plan: Hades (part 2) and it wasn't that bad, but was kind of an average action movie, 5/10.

Took one of my granddaughter's to see Spider-man: Far From Home this afternoon. A very fine movie. And, if you go to see it, watch the credits to the end!

Thanks for that heads up. Also, watched Escape Plan: The Extractors, not a bad movie at all, if you're an action movie buff.

Went to see Stuber this evening. It was a fun romp of a movie. My d-i-l and I both called it "cute". It's not actually a movie I would have paid full price to have seen. But, with the AMC Stubs membership we can see up to 3 movies per week without having to pay but $23 USD per month.

Went to see Once Upon a Time in Hollywood this evening. A VERY LONG movie...nearly 3 hours long. But, it was also quite entertaining. Leonardo and Brad did a good job acting together. And, Quentin took a LOT of liberty with history to make this movie. I remember the Manson Murders and followed the developments on the news during the time.

Due to that, there's a certain feeling that the seriousness of that event was treated with some degree of disrespect. My son and daughter-in-law weren't as affected by it as they have no personal point of reference to that time and event.

If you do see this movie, I highly recommend you read up on the Manson Murders and what actually did happen.

picked up Alita Battle Angel on 4k bluray and 3d bluray and bluray and having watched it on a rather good 4k UHD HDR tv... using the 4k bluray, utterly fantastic detail, even my sister agreed it look better than the imax theater we originally watched it at. Such incredibly good detail.

Anyways, still gaud damn awesome and i really hope they get a sequel out soon

Took my granddaughter to see Yesterday. We both enjoyed it, but, I had to explain the actual historical background to the movie since she wasn't aware of what actually had happened.

    For example:
She wasn't aware that John Lennon' character had been killed in reality and had asked me who that was in the movie near the end.
