Finally got around to watching Blade Runner 2049 after having bought it many months ago. Ugh! What a borefest that was.
I saw MIB International, and I was slightly impressed by it. It was slightly funny, somewhat action packed, and just a bit of this, a dash of that, nothing special really.
A couple nights ago I watched, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, at home. This evening, my son, d-i-l, and I went to see, Hobbs & Shaw, on IMAX at the theater. Quite a non-stop action movie with some incredible stunts being done.
Just got around to watching John Wick 3, oh my what epic action goodness. Spoiler I especially like that Reeves used a favourite line of mine from The Matrix.
I watched the new Hellboy movie a long time ago and didn't say so here, and I was really impressed. A must watch for any action/sci fi movie fans, they really knocked it out of the park this time. And that's from someone who absolutely hated previous Hellboy movies.
I saw Spider Man Far From Home and enjoyed it. Wasn't as good as the previous ones though. Also watched Tall Girl on Netflix and it was quite the good show, I loved this rom com.
Now You See Me (2013) was on TV. I watched it having only a vague idea what it was about. It was a fun movie, but a movie which IMO is good only for one viewing. Well, perhaps two, just to see Mélanie Laurent again, as Alma Dray. What can I say, I have a soft spot for cute French women.
watched The Hitman's Bodyguard cos it was on the tv actually, despite being at least a half hour too long, and absolute fluff at best, it was good fun. entertaining, reasonable set pieces, and (I hate myself for it) but I just love Ryan Reynolds. he’s fun.
i like where lucy went... what i find utterly stupid is the number of people that claimed lucy was a complete ripoff of limitless.
They had a similar theme I guess, but they took the idea to a whole different route. One was basically an almost comedy and let's say more science in the sci-fi, the other was an action movie with more fiction (or fantasy) in its sci-fi. I like them both. I admit where I loved Limitless, I "merely" like Lucy. As I said, I have yet to watch a Luc Besson's movie which I didn't at least like.
BTW, I have a question for you and anyone who watched Lucy. SPOILERS to follow. Spoiler: story spoiler, avoid it As she was moving back in time, did I miss something or she actually first saw dinosaurs and then even further to the past saw the primate (first proto human?) ?
Spoiler In the time travel event, though i've only seen the movie twice since it came out, the time period in which she was moving back seemed to jump like she had hit rewind and started moving forward again from what i could see, i will say though, watching it a 2nd time, if you pay attention, you can pick up on a whole lot more details that your eyes aren't likely to be even focused on through your first play through In all honesty though, probably would need to go to a fan site that had a chronological breakdown of what was going on.
don’t watch a lot of movies (I watch a lot of sport), but I have recently watched about half of An Innocent Man crime docu thing on Netflix should finish it today, so far, so good if you like these things, you know what you’re getting, and you won’t be disappointed
I watched Eli on Netflix, my first true horror movie in like eons, and it was EXCELLENT. Not too scary, in fact only one part made me jump, so I finished watching it during the day because I didn't expect it to be that scary but I have to say it keeps you guessing right till the end. Brownie points to anyone who can figure out exactly what's going on before it is explained to you pretty much.
