Started in an arcade full of pinball machines. No video games at the time. Loved the "crack" sound the old machines made when you racked up a free game! Would sell off 15 games for more than I ever put in. My favorite was a machine called Sinbad, rows of knock down targets.

Got PONG by Atari after that and it sucked so bad that I never bothered with video games until I got a PC 10 years ago, totally hooked now. My kids have a Gamecube but it has no appeal to me.

I started out with a commodore 64 and then a nintendo with super mario brothers and zelda and a duck shooting game with the gun.
When I wasn't at home I was at the local arcade gaming it up. Then a couple years later I moved on to Sega Genesis playing: Sonic Pinball, Jurassic Park, X-Men, Ecco(some kind of stupid dolphin game), then got the 32x add-on so I could play DooM for the 1st through 5 millionth time. Then I finally moved up to a comnputer with better graphics with my super 256 megs ram and 2 gig harddrive. I am now on my custom made computer, and I have to say I'll never buy a console again.

Ya danged bunch of young whippersnappers

First 'Computer Game" that I played was Tic-Tac-Toe, on an IBM 360 mod. 20 :)

Wasn't easy, as ya had to have it read a punched card for each move, and it printed a page to show each move. Not all that involved a game, but remember...the program was written in ASSEMBLER Lang. and ran on an 8K (not a mistake K not M) machine :D

only played on a Tandy 1000 back in the day, come 90 or 91, we got a NES, played duckhunt and mario bros for years before we got another game, my uncle actually got us the NES and got me hooked, our next game was actually Metroid, we spent years playing that for ages, oventually getting mario bros 2 and 3. by 95, we had a good store of a few decent selection of games for the NES and the SNES was bought for "pre" christmas. We got dongkey kong and i oventually got a Gameboy adapter to play metroid 2 return of samus.

Shortly after my uncle got me metroid 3 (super metroid) for christmas and all other games didn't mean much aside from Tetris Attack which i still thoroughly enjoy playing today. (Damn computer set on hardest just isn't hard enough, fun as hell to play against cause we can go for a full 20 minutes before one of us dies off).

April of 97 we got the first actual computer, a pos compaq in which i still was computer clueless, however this thing brought on my facination with computers, within a year i had it apart and put back together, however the sucker was flawed from the beginning and the store in which sold and "supported" it i still hate today because they are bastards for even today making themselves out to be nothing but interested in dollars and screwing over anyone that walks through there door *Compusmart*.

2000 we got after much nagging, a newer machine after the compaq popped finally. This machine i tried to get someone to build custom, but wasn't all that reliable, had issues from the start, oventually i learnt to overclock slightly, and this is precisely where things just took off. I learnt how to install and rebuild and do just about everything almost. Chipset drivers where one of the first things i learnt.

end of 2000 i splurged myself (out of my pockets) for a creative labs live sound card, a set of surround speakers, a MSI Slot A motherboard and an AMD Athlon 600mhz, all of which cost me nearly 1 grand at the time. Shortly after i joined and started talking with people from i beleive it was called "Hardwareforums" or something, they oventually went under and i found myself on PVRgenerations or PVR-NET shortly after.

Voodoo banshee to voodoo 3 which was amazing to a PowerVR Kyro II which imo, is by far the most impressive peice of video technology.

I've since built every machine myself.

christmas 2004 i got myself a gamecube, which was stolen 2005 spring, got a GC for christmas 2005, septermber 2nd i got myself a nintendo DS Lite.

And several computer hardware changes since.
