I will be taking my grand-daughter and great-grandson with me to St. Simon's Island, GA next week. My older daughter, her husband, and my 16-year old grandson live there. We'll be spending the week there and head back home the next weekend.

Although I'll have my laptop with me, I'll likely not be checking in here much during the week.

But, you all behave yourselves while I'm away, OK? :)

Made it back from vacation safe and sound. Had a bit of ["anxiety" is a bit too much] but some concern about Hurricane Michael. Had its path taken a more easterly path, we would likely have had to evacuate....or been told to do so. As it was, it stayed west of our location but we did get a lot of wind and some heavy periods of rain from it. The island got some minor damage...a few trees down, palm fronds blown hither and yon, and some spots of high water. Otherwise, it was just "another day at the beach". :)

But, where the hurricane DID hit, it was utter devastation! I'm sure you've seen the news reports.
