Ok guys, I know it's been many, MANY moons since I've been here but I have a little problem with Win 7 that is making me crazy.

    System:
Lenovo R400 laptop running WIN 7 PRO 64-bit.

    Problem:
For one reason or another the "Disable Script Debugging (Internet Explorer)", "Disable Script Debugging (Other), "Play animations in web pages*", Play sounds in web pages", and possibly some others will not keep the setting that I set in INTERNET OPTIONS/ADVANCED.

The script debugging one is particularly vexing as it keeps getting set to ON and I am getting the Script Error popup a lot. Danged annoying.

I've Googled for an answer but really haven't found much info.

Does anyone here have any insight as to how I can fix this?

I can turn that on in the Advanced Options, and if I then check the registry it shows as ON.

However when I reboot, it gets turned off again.

The same applies to the (Other) as well, except that the (Other) will also get turned of while I'm browsing and going from page to page.

Have you tried the option to reset everything, followed by restarting IE then re-applying those settings?
Also, your security settings may have an impact.

Yep, did that. Even went back to a restore point.

I'll check the security settings. Haven't touched them for a long time though.
