windows protection error

    lately when i overclock my cpu i'm getting a blue screen with a windows protection error. i'm running winme. does anyone know if theres a way around this ? or its just my cpu giving up.

    You're overclocking too far.

    Downclock to your CPU specified rates and then try bumping the FSB 5Mhz at a time or another x 0.5 multiplier and running a 10-minute test. If the test works then bump another 5Mhz.

    3D mark running in a loop is a good stability test
