Core i9 11900K: a YouTuber unpacks the CPU from its original box

Recently, we talked to you about the Core i9 11900K and its unusual box. Indeed, just like the 9900K and 10900K, Intel takes care of its design with a transparent blue plastic with a singular shape. However, a videographer named Vassi Tech was able to receive a retail copy before time and proceeded to unpack it.

Core i9 11900K: what’s behind that “crushed” box?

In his short video, we can see the videographer unpacking his CPU. During his video, we see him cutting the top seal opening the cardboard overpack. Then, he opens the blue plastic shell which closes a small pocket containing the CPU and a simple manual.

We find a nice packaging that contains only the processor… But we are used to it since it has been a few generations since the brand does not provide radboxes. On the other hand, when we see the heating and consumption values, we wonder how these pieces of aluminum could maintain the CPU at low temperatures. Intel Core i9 11900K

As a reminder, this Core i9 11900K is announced with 8 cores and 16 threads running at 3.5 GHz and going up to 5.3 GHz in boost. The set also has 16 MB of cache, supports DDR4 and is compatible with PCIe 4.0. Finally, you should know that the announced TDP is 125W, that’s why there are no more rad stocks provided with the CPUs. And don’t get me wrong, the situation is similar at AMD. Ryzen 9 5950X, Ryzen 9 5900X and Ryzen 7 5800X arrive without Wraith heatsinks.

Upon arrival, we think that the packaging of this i9 11900K will only be good to garnish its streamershelf.
