Corsair Obsidian 900D Case Review

During CES in January of this year Corsair were happy to show reasonably final samples of the 900D case, a follow up to 2010’s 800D. The 800D was a hugely impressive case for its time and since reviewing that we can only think of a couple of models which come close to competing in the high end of the market.

Since the 800D Corsair have cemented their place in chassis design with impressive models at each point. Today though the review NDA lifts and we are back at the enthusiast end of the case market with the Obsidian 900D. Can Corsair meet, or exceed the quality, design and features of the 800D? Let’s find out.

Packaging and Bundle

Corsair package the 900D in a massive box which gives us some detailed images of the case design and information on features. Inside we find the case suspended in polystyrene and wrapped in a plastic bag for extra protection. There are also protective covers applied to various parts of the case body for added peace of mind during shipping.

Corsair 900D bundle

Bundled with the 900D we have a short manual, cable ties, allen key and a wide range of screws which allow us to install various components and fans in our case.

A fairly simple bundle really with everything we need to complete a build. So let’s take a look at the case itself.
