To compare the onboard GPU performance of the two boards we used Half-Life 2 at 1280 x 1024 at high settings.

In this test, the X2 555 combined with the 785G chipset came out on top, producing playable framerates through the majority of our testing.  In fact, the minimum frame rate recorded by AMDs onboard graphics was higher than the average of Intel’s graphics.  This said, for almost all new titles, neither of these onboard graphics solutions will provide enough performance without using lower resolution or settings.
