File Copy Tests

Benchmark

In the first of our "true" real world tests we have created three file copy scenarios which cover operations which users are likely to perform on a regular basis. We copy a folder of 27GB (game) and then multiple files totalling 1.1GB (Music) as well as a single 4GB item (video) from location to location within the drive, recording the time taken to complete the task.

Overall the results here are good for Crucial. In tests which are actual use in tasks we all do the 1.1GB and 4GB results show it to match the Vector and exceed the performance of Samsung’s Pro drive. A large 27GB file transfer isn’t quite as impressive on the Marvell drive but it is only a few seconds off the two other drives.
