DDR5-4800 MHz kits for Alder Lake show up

A Chinese company called Asgard, hitherto unknown to the battalion, has just come out of anonymity by announcing its own DDR5 memory kits. According to the data provided by the company, these DDR5 memory kits are entry-level modules and operate at the basic frequencies of the DDR5 standard. What is curious is that the company has indicated that these memory kits have already entered mass production while Alder Lake-S is expected, at best, by the very end of the year ( December ? ). Compared to DDR4, DDR5 memory will offer twice as much performance and will save about 20% in power consumption. The memory kits will be supported by Intel’s 12th generation Alder Lake and next generation AMD processors with AM5 socket (unless we have a surprise in the meantime). DDR5 ASGARD introduced a single DDR5 module with 64 GB capacity and 1.1 V operating voltage at 4800 MHz speed. The UDIMM module is devoid of a heat sink, although we can expect most DDR5 kits at launch to be exactly like this. In its communication, the Chinese company decidedly not really aware of privacy, also indicated that in addition to the 12th generation Intel Alder Lake processors, Intel Sapphire Rapid-SP Xeon, Tiger Lake-U, AMD Van Gogh / Rembrandt CPUs will also use DDR5 memory kits. The “why” of such an early communication from a hitherto unknown manufacturer remains to be understood. Willingness to make itself known, change in Intel’s schedule?
