Diablo II Resurrected: What about the configurations to run the game?

Announced during Blizzcon 2021, Bilzzard is planning a remastered version of one of its flagship Diablo II titles. The reason we’re telling you about it today is because the configurations for running the game are known. So, does your PC have what it takes for this Diablo II Resurrected?

Before moving on to the configurations, a little reminder of what Diablo II is all about. Originally, D2 is a hack and slash type game released in June 2000. One year later, the title received its first and last expansion: Diablo II: Lord of Destruction. This extension added a whole act, two classes (Assassin and Druid) and new items.

Today, 20 years later, Blizzard announces the remastered version of the title with new graphics, 4K support and new features. Among them are a larger shared box (among its characters), a revamped user interface, and a redesign of the season rankings. Likewise, whatever the support, you’ll be able to take your character back to where it was.

Anyway, all this is cool, but it doesn’t tell us what it takes to play it. Well hang up your belts (of potions, you’ll need them) and let’s go:

  • Minimal :
    • Processor: Intel Core i3 3250 / AMD FX-4350
    • RAM: 8 GB
    • Graphics card: nVidia GeForce GTX 660 / AMD RADEON HD 7850
    • Storage: 30 GB
    • Resolution: 1280 x 720
  • Recommended :
    • Processor: Intel Core i5 9600K / AMD Ryzen 5 2600
    • RAM: 16 GB
    • Graphics card: nVidia GeForce GTX 1060 / AMD RADEON RX 5500 XT
    • Storage: 30 GB
    • Resolution: 1920 x 1080

So, do you need a big PC?

As you can see, the required configurations are not huge. Indeed, to play in 720p, we find a typical configuration of 2012 with a GTX 600 and an HD 7000. Same for the CPU part which is not very huge.

In 1080p, the title is a little more demanding without requiring a war machine either. Indeed, we have here mid-range machines of previous generation. Typically, the PC that was easily found between 2016 and 2019. With the current components, it will not be complicated to play in good conditions … Still, there must be stock, as always.
