Enermax MODU 82+ 625W

Recently Enermax released two new lines of high quality PSU’s aiming towards the mainstream PC market, the highly efficient Pro 82+ and Modu 82+ series. They have a maximum output in the 385W-625W range and the main difference between ranges is that the Modu 82+ series consists of modular units, as their name suggests. Today we will take a look at the Modu 82+ 625W, the most powerful unit of the series.

Packaging and Bundle

 
The artwork on the packaging of the Modu 82+ is attractive. While the box itself is very sturdy and can withstand a heavy impact, the unit itself is merely wrapped in a plastic bubble bag and is not particularly well secured inside the box. It would be hard to damage the unit during shipping, however Enermax could certainly improve this situation with some minor changes.

Inside the box are the necessary modular cables and a nice storage bag for those you aren’t going to use. There is also an AC power cable and mounting screws, a well written manual, a sticker with the company logo and two high quality cable straps. The sleeving of the cables is black but has a golden thread pattern, which significantly improves the appearance.
