Epomaker B21: a retro-looking mechanical keyboard on Indiegogo!

Epomaker B21: a retro-looking mechanical keyboard on Indiegogo!

Before going to eat, a quick news about a crowdfounding about a new keyboard. The model in question is called Epomaker B21 and it is a mechanical model with a retro look.

Epomaker B21 : 65% mech with PBT SA keycaps !

Epomake B21

With this keyboard, the brand wants to offer us a rather special reference. We already start with the format that we will not cross everywhere and for good reason, it is a 65% model. Roughly speaking, it is based on a 60% keyboard (type K65 RGB Mini), but we keep the directional arrows and some navigation keys. In addition, this model has some multimedia keys and two wheels. The first will be used to manage the sound and the second to manage the backlight.

The other big interest of this model lies in the set of keycaps used. Of course, we are dealing with PBT, but we are not dealing with a simple OEM set, no, no. This is a SA profile with higher keys and more curvature than the classic keyset.

Otherwise, this model offers dual connectivity with detachable USB type C … Quite classic. However, if you want, you can switch to wireless mode via Bluetooth (up to three devices simultaneously) with a battery of 4000 mAh. Moreover, in terms of autonomy, it is 36 hours with backlight, 240 hours without.

As for the switches, Epomaker is now equipped with Cherry MX. The brand will let you choose between linear (red), clicky (blue) or tactile (brown). There will be something for everyone. Moreover, speaking of touch, the N-Key Rollover is present.

Anyway, this Epomaker B21 is available for $99 on Indiegogo, which is 33% of the final price. At the time of writing, the project is already funded to 397% of its initial goal.
